Originally founded by Joey in 2020 as a solo project, ADRAM AND ANXIETY began as a raw, genre-bending exploration of sonic
textures—just one guy in the studio, mashing up influences and chasing sound for the sake of expression. 

With no real intention of expanding, Joey spent years honing the sound alone, building immersive sets with guitar, samplers, and synths. But when Chris returned to Colorado, after time away in Texas, the two reconnected and jammed—rekindling a musical chemistry from over 15 years ago that was impossible to
ignore. 

The collaboration felt inevitable. Joey invited Chris to join,
transforming AAA from a solo vision into a dynamic duo with deep rootsand a vibe fresh like fire.

Their paths first crossed when Chris, then a music composition
student, joined a local band where Joey was the drummer. That
instinctive rhythmic chemistry evolved far beyond their original
project. Now, their collaborative approach brings together Joey's
EDM-influenced improvisation with Chris's psychedelic sensibilities, creating grooves that are both primal and forward-thinking. Drawing inspiration from the experimental spirit of early Pink Floyd while embracing modern electronic elements, AAA crafts an immersive experience that goes beyond sound alone.

What started years ago as a raw grunge band in the vein of Alice in Chains has since evolved into something far harder to define. Today, ADRAM AND ANXIETY pull from a wide spectrum of influence—listeners have compared their sound to everything from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Shpongle to Nine Inch Nails, Godflesh, The Prodigy, Tool, Skinny Puppy, Static-X, Sleep, and The Sword.
